Herculan cast floors are floor coverings made of high-quality polyurethane resin that is poured directly onto the floor surface, creating an ideal seamless whole. These floors are known for their durability, chemical resistance and easy maintenance. They are ideal for a variety of spaces, including ship interior and exterior decks, precisely because of the durable material and easy maintenance.
Polyurethane (PU) cast floors are extremely popular in shipbuilding due to their specific properties that make them ideal for demanding marine conditions such as: high resistance to moisture and salt, anti-slip properties, high durability, long service life, resistance to high temperatures and UV radiation, and easy maintenance and repairs.
The time required to apply our cast flooring depends on several factors such as the deck surface and substrate, the thickness of the underlayment system and the type of system you choose. It is common for the PU flooring application and drying process to take an average of 7-10 days, as the product is applied in multiple layers, while in the case of the Eco Teak wood look variant, an additional 7-10 days are required for cutting, grouting and final sanding.
